My work focuses mainly on iconography and the different levels or contexts of the image and its processes of reproduction, representation and distribution, around the reinterpretation, reconstruction, alteration and composition, dialogues and confrontations on different aspects of society contemporary ascribed to existing iconographies, resignifying texts, contexts and pretexts.
Biografía
Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid.
He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in commercial galleries, museums and art centers in Europe and America since 1992 (Córdoba Photography Biennial, Finland Photography Triennial, Schwules Museum, Berlin, CACT Ticino, Switzerland, Leslie Lohman Foundation, New York, Instituto Cervantes, Palermo / Berlin)
He has participated in fairs and festivals such as ARCO, Estampa and PhotoEspaña in Madrid, Art Miami and The Armory Show in the USA. He has received awards such as the Ibiza Biennial and the Photography Magrama, and artist-in-residence grants at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin and the Karl Hofer Society, Universität der Kunste, Berlin. Last individual exhibitions at the Lázaro Galdiano Museum and the Museum of Decorative Arts, Madrid.
