Biography
The Galician photographer based in Madrid, Saleta Rosón has trained at the prestigious B19 photography school in Madrid, taking various courses and workshops with distinguished photographers such as Rafael Navarro or David Lloyd, among others.
A tireless traveler, she does not give up in her efforts to obtain images that meet her objectives, returning time and time again to the same places. This allows her work to be carried out calmly and quietly, as she evaluates which photographs will form part of her work.
For a long time, she has focused on projects related to nature and the environment. The power of nature in opposition to humans, and the way in which it claims its place, is the central focus of her work. She is interested in places with a soul and, based on observation, the transferring of those scenes to universal grounds. The use of light is fundamental. It allows her to create shapes and to play with the abstraction in the landscape.
Her “Nature Rules” project is a good example of this, highlighting the power of sand, an element present in most of her work. With this project she has participated in the exhibition “Hors Pistes” at the Pompidou center in Malaga, Espai Bigueta, Villajoyosa and Apertura, Malaga.
In October, 2022, this same project was exhibited in Madrid at the Galileo cultural center.
She has participated in various collective exhibitions as well as international fairs, and has been selected and awarded respectively in contests such as the Enaire photography award within the framework of Photoespaña 2022, or the Asisa 2021 award, among others.
