Biography

Iciar L. Yllera (Madrid, 1996) has a degree in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid, having carried out scholarship stays at the universities of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna (Italy).
Her workshop is located in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the town in which she currently resides. Her relationship with her painting can be traced since she was a child, but she begins with her first solo exhibition at age 18. Since then, her work has moved in galleries and cultural centers in different cities of the country, such as Madrid, Girona, Barcelona, ​​Salamanca or Segovia.
Likewise, her work includes a taste for collaboration in artistic projects where interdisciplinarity prevails: through her participation in various collective happenings; collaborating with live painting in video clips of Spanish singer-songwriters; intervening in public spaces with the sculptural installation of the Meninas Madrid Gallery (2018) or as an illustrated performance of musical performances.
