This open lab exhibition showcases the collaborative artworks resulting from The Water Office workshops, exploring the current debate on global water challenges through artistic practices.

The Water Office is a new project by Spanish curator Blanca de la Torre, that presents art both as a tool of action and the key element to rethink the importance of artistic practices in relation to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Through different workshops, The Water Office seeks to provide a platform for those voices acting as “trenches” in the “water wars.” Artists Basurama & Rachel Schmidt, Tania Candiani, Juanli Carrión, Elena Lavellés, and Juan Zamora, together with the participants of their workshops, present open lab projects that address sustainability and ecological problems and give the audience the opportunity to explore water challenges through different approaches.
