El fotógrafo santanderino Bernardo Aja, afincado en México, presenta una recopilación de fotos y montajes audiovisuales con puestas en escena impactantes que nos lleva a dos épocas distintas, mostrando cómo ciertos linajes familiares conservan la esencia de los siglos pasados, combinando los lenguajes contemporáneos con una estética casi barroca.
En palabras de los expertos que han desarrollado el proyecto que se presenta en Bruselas, Elena Poniatowska, Carlos Jiménez, Elisabeth Martin: “Bernardo no se deja impresionar por estas clases sociales, sino que interactúa con ellas, se inmiscuye en sus vidas y en sus miedos. Esta intrusión rompe la lógica de la fotografía, creando situaciones teatrales y cinematográficas que muestran algo más que el registro, un comienzo literario in media res, un momento exacto que muestra un secreto.La relación existente entre los personajes y su vida privada revela la importancia de la herencia, las últimas voluntades, la pérdida;”
